Terms and Conditions of Use of Gift Cards
1. Definitions
1.1.
Gift Card
A gift card is a means of authorisation that entitles the clients of AS “VIRŠI-A” to
receive fuel, goods and services without using cash at all AS “VIRŠI-A” points of sale,
except for automatic petrol stations. A gift card can be digital or physical.
1.2.
Digital Gift Card
A digital gift card is an electronic gift card and/or digital product voucher purchased
via the VIRŠI mobile app, website or otherwise obtained.
1.3.
Physical Gift Card
A physical gift card is a physical plastic gift card purchased at VIRŠI-A points of sale
or otherwise obtained.
1.4.
VIRŠI
VIRŠI is AS “VIRŠI-A”, reg. No. 40003242737.
1.5.
Website
A website is the website of AS “VIRŠI-A” www.virsi.lv.
1.6.
Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions are these Terms and Conditions of Use of VIRŠI-A Gift
Cards. The Terms and Conditions shall constitute an agreement between AS VIRŠI-
A” and the user and/or purchaser of the Gift Card on the use of Gift Cards.
1.7.
Gift Card User
The user of the Gift Card is a person who has purchased and/or uses the Gift Card for
payments for VIRŠI goods and services.
1.8.
App
AS “VIRŠI-A” mobile app VIRŠI, which can be downloaded on a mobile device
(smart device).

2. General Provisions
2.1.
The use of Gift Cards is governed by these Terms and Conditions. The current
version of these Terms and Conditions is available on the VIRŠI website. VIRŠI has
the right to unilaterally amend these Terms and Conditions by publishing the current
version on the Website. The purchase or use of a Gift Card implies that the Gift
Card User accepts them.
2.2.
The denomination of a Physical Gift Card can range from EUR 5 to EUR 500. The
denomination of a Digital Gift Card is determined at the time of purchase of the
Digital Gift Card.
2.3.
The expiry date of a Gift Card is indicated on the Gift Card. After the specified expiry
date, the Gift Card is blocked and can no longer be used. The Gift Card cannot be
reactivated. The balance on the Gift Card is non-refundable.
2.4.
Gift Cards can be purchased at all VIRŠI points of sale, on the App or the Website.
Legal entities may also purchase Gift Cards on the basis of a mutually concluded
agreement.
3. Use of a Gift Card
3.1.
Digital Gift Cards are available for use upon receipt. Digital Gift Cards purchased
by consumers (i.e. where the purchaser of a Gift Card is a consumer) may be
returned and cancelled within 14 days of purchase, provided that the Gift Card has
not been used and the balance of the amount paid into it has not changed. To
return and cancel a Digital Gift Card, the Gift Card User must contact VIRŠI
Customer Service at +371 80700070 or send an e-mail to info@virsi.lv.
3.2.
There is no minimum purchase amount for a Gift Card. A Gift Card may be used
several times, making purchases within the nominal value of the Gift Card and
within its validity period.
3.3.
The Gift Card User must write down the number of their Gift Card. The Gift Card
number is required to check the Gift Card balance. The balance of the Gift Card
can be checked at all VIRŠI full-service petrol stations or by contacting VIRŠI
Customer Service by phone at +371 80700070 or by e-mail to info@virsi.lv.
3.4.
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and the balance of the Gift Cards is not
issued.
3.5.
The Gift Card User is prohibited from disclosing the Gift Card number or other
information of the Gift Card to unauthorised persons.
3.6.
Gift Cards are not accepted and serviced at VIRŠI automated petrol stations.

3.7.
The transaction with a Gift Card will be debited from the Gift Card at the time of the
transaction. If the Gift Card User wishes to spend more than the remaining value of
a Gift Card, the Gift Card User may pay the amount exceeding the remaining value
using an alternative payment method (Gift Card + bank card or cash).
3.8.
A Gift Card can be used in conjunction with discount cards authorised at VIRŠI
points of sale.
3.9.
The Gift Card User cannot stop or cancel the Gift Card transaction after it has been
authorised (by swiping the Gift Card at the cash desk or scanning the QR code).
3.10.
Gift Cards are for personal use or gifting only and may not be sold to third parties.
3.11.
The mention of VIRŠI logos, Gift Card images or other visual or textual information
in public environments or promotional materials must be approved by sending the
content to mark@virsi.lv.
3.12.
Lost or stolen Gift Cards cannot be replaced and VIRŠI undertakes no liability for
lost, stolen or damaged Gift Cards. The risk in relation to a Gift Card shall pass to
the Gift Card User upon the delivery of the Gift Card and ownership of the Gift Card
shall pass upon the receipt of payment in full.
3.13.
Purchases of Gift Cards by legal entities will not be subject to the statutory
protection applicable to consumers under the laws and regulations governing
consumer protection.
4. Final Provisions
4.1.
VIRŠI processes, collects and uses the Gift Card User’s data in accordance with the
terms of the VIRŠI Privacy Notice, which is available on the website
https://www.virsi.lv/documents/download/virsi-a-privatuma-pazinojums and at all
VIRŠI points of sale, except for automatic petrol stations.
4.2. VIRŠI shall not be liable for Gift Cards that cannot be delivered or are not received
because the Gift Card User has not entered an accurate e-mail address (or delivery
address, if any) or other relevant delivery information for the recipient.
4.3. Except as otherwise provided by applicable law, VIRŠI shall not be liable for any
claims, damages, demands or expenses arising in connection with the use of Gift
Cards or these Terms and Conditions.

4.5. These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws and
regulations of the Republic of Latvia, and disputes concerning them shall be dealt with
in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations of the Republic of
Latvia.
4.6. These Terms and Conditions shall enter into force on 20 June 2024.
