Today, on May 31, the newest location of the energy commodities trader and convenience store network AS VIRŠI-A (hereinafter – Virši) opens in the town of Sigulda, Nītaures street 22. The company invested EUR 2.2million into the construction of the facility, developing a 10,000m2 area by the Vidzeme highway.
Virši Sigulda will be open 24/7. The 161m2 shop with a spacious and comfortable indoor and outdoor area, as well as trailer rental, the most popular fuels and dischargeable windshield fluid is now fully operational.
“This is the third new service station we have opened this year. We hope that easy access from the highway, a spacious rest area for visitors and a full range of services will make this a popular stop for drivers, providing our customers with everything they need for everyday life and leisure,” says Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board at Virši.
According to Jānis Vība, the Company is planning strong growth in point-of-sale coverage in 2024: “In line with the Company’s long-term strategic plan, we continue to develop our network of service stations and construction work is currently underway on four more new locations in Latvia – in Riga, Salaspils and Valmiera, as well as the first service station in Lithuania. All these locations will be opened during the summer and we plan to open several more before the end of the year, the construction progress of which will be announced in the coming months.”
To celebrate the opening of the service station until at least June 16, 2024, visitors can get a EUR 0.10 discount on every litre of fuel purchased, as well as especially attractive prices for coffee and snacks when using their Virši customer card or the app.
